Time Since Requested Does Not Increase Importance

We can’t go back in time so the only thing that can provide value is in the present and future.

If you evaluate a feature request based on the elapsed time since it was requested, it only serves to optimize for short-term frustration relief not truly optimizing one’s resources long-term. This can be difficult to avoid, but it’s important to resist arguments about priority that resolve to: “I told you about this {time unit} ago and it’s still not done.”
